Congressional District 2 (Omaha) Republican Candidates

A PRESS CLUB/LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE

There are two candidates running in the May 10th primary for the Republican nomination for the Second District Congressional seat held by Democrat Brad Ashford.

Chip Maxwell of Omaha is an attorney. He received his law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and formerly served on the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and as a member of the Nebraska State Legislature.

Don Bacon of Papillion had a 30 year career in the Air Force, retiring as a Brigadier General and serving at one point at Offutt Air Force Base. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and is currently an Assistant Professor at Bellevue University.

Legislative District 13 (Omaha) All Candidates

The Nebraska legislature is nonpartisan. The top 2 candidates in the primary will compete in the general election in November. The candidates are:
